Devoteam is seeking a detail-oriented DevOps Engineer specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our nearshore team in Lisboa, Portugal. You will design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions that support our organization’s mission-critical applications.

You will work with development and operations teams to ensure secure, scalable environments, while optimizing deployment processes and system reliability.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or systems administration roles.
• Advanced proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architecture.
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix system administration and command-line tools.
• Experience with monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, ELK stack).
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices, identity management, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues systematically.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
• Preferred: Experience with multi-cloud environments or hybrid cloud architectures.
• Preferred: Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and agile practices.
• Preferred: Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Data Engineer)

Responsabilidades

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and networking services.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform to ensure consistent and reproducible environments.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build and other automation tools to streamline application deployment processes.
• Implement containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes to enhance application scalability and portability.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure and application performance issues with a focus on minimizing downtime.
• Establish and maintain comprehensive logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to ensure system health and visibility.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application deployment strategies and cloud resource utilization.
• Implement security best practices and compliance standards across cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and runbooks to support team knowledge sharing and operational efficiency.
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide timely incident response and resolution support
