Job summary

EDP group in Portugal seeks a Electrical Engineer with energy specialization to support and implement construction works in MV and LV networks, design and cost new constructions in company software, and supervise MV telecontrol points (TCMT).

You will collect data for operational indicators, supervise fieldwork, and coordinate with External Service Providers to drive operational efficiency. The role requires travel within Braga District and a collaborative, safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Master's or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering - Energy specialization.
• Strong ability to manage multiple operations situations simultaneously in Medium Voltage, Low Voltage, and Public Lighting Operation.
• Up to 5 years of professional experience in similar roles.
• Knowledge of Office tools (mandatory);
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage teams and prioritize activities;
• Solid understanding of electrical grid structure, technologies, and how to works;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
• Availability to travel for work within the Operational Area of the Braga District
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and environmental standards related to Medium Voltage, Low Voltage, and Public Lighting Operation;
• Available to make field trips within and outside of working hours in the operational area of the Braga District (mandatory);

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in supporting and implementing construction works in the MV and LV networks.
• Design, costing and licencing of new construction works in the MV/LV network in company softwares.
• Supervise the implementation of new MV telecontrol points (TCMT).
• Data collection for the calculation of operational indicators, in order to measure results and define actions, aiming for operational efficiency.
• Supervise the progress of fieldwork and manage the availability and capacity of External Service Providers.
• Identify and propose new network developments and investments in MV, LV, and Public Lighting.
• Oversee the identification, planning, and execution of all network construction activities.
• Support the Operational Manager in handling day-to-day issues.
• Ensure that safety procedures are consistently implemented by both the internal team and our partners.
• Collaborate with the Project Design team to support and address all types of customer complaints;.
