FEUP invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship under the RAICC project, focused on synthetic data generation to study forecasting algorithms in time series and tabular data. The 12‑month fellowship starts in October 2026, with possible renewals within project limits.

The work will be at FEUP or Fraunhofer AICOS, under Prof. Carlos Milheiro de Oliveira Pinto Soares, with a monthly stipend of €1901–€2336, payable by bank transfer and compliant with regulations.

Qualificações

• PhD in Computer Science or related field with PhD obtained within the last three years.
• Postdoc must be carried out at a host institution different from the PhD institution.
• Total duration not exceed three years for this type of fellowship.
• Foreign degree must comply with Decree-Law No. 66/2018 and be fulfilled at signing.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and validate a synthetic data generation algorithm.
• Conduct literature review on forecasting algorithms in time series and tabular data.
• Design two approaches for the problem and empirically evaluate them.
• Write two research papers detailing findings.
