Mid Data Engineer
Location: Lisbon, hybrid
Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled Mid Data Engineer who demonstrates reliability in implementing data pipelines, a solid understanding of core data concepts, and the ability to independently execute well‑defined tasks.
Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft tools like Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Synapse, or comparable technologies.
- Cloud experience across platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Strong programming skills (e.g., SQL, Spark, Python, or other scripting languages).
- Robust understanding of ETL/ELT workflows, data architecture, and technical architecture design principles.
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and code reviews.
- Experience troubleshooting coding issues and optimizing workflows.
- Code review and testing.
- DevOps (CI/CD for data) and/or DataOps experience.
- Growth‑oriented mindset: eagerness to learn and upskill quickly during this developmental phase.
- Clear communication: ability to convey progress and blockers effectively.
- Team collaboration: comfortable working with Analytics Engineering, Product Management, and other engineering disciplines.
- Methodical approach: reliability in task execution, minimizing rework or errors due to structured and systematic workflows.
- Openness to feedback: maturity in receiving constructive input to accelerate growth toward becoming a Senior Engineer.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on cloud‑native solutions and data architecture.
- English language proficiency of at least B2 level.
