WE ARE META in Lisbon is seeking a Mid Application Security Engineer to strengthen client security across the software lifecycle and lead cross‑functional security initiatives.

The role requires 3+ years in cybersecurity, with expertise in SAST/DAST/IAAC scanning, OWASP Top 10, and remediation planning. English (B2) is essential; French is a plus. Hybrid work two days a week in Lisbon is offered.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, Application Security, and DevSecOps.
• Proficiency in application security tooling across the full software development lifecycle.
• Deep knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities with remediation experience.
• Ability to reduce noise in security pipelines by tuning scanners for better signal quality.
• Proven leadership in application security initiatives and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Fluency in English (B2); French is a plus.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, Application Security, DevSecOps
• Proficiency in application security tooling including SAST, SCA, DAST, container image scanning, IaC scanning, and secrets detection across the full software development lifecycle.
• Deep knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, with demonstrated ability to perform vulnerability analysis, prioritize findings, and drive remediation.
• Ability to reduce noise in security pipelines through false positive identification, tuning, and optimization of scanning tools to improve signal quality.
• Proven leadership in application security initiatives, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams, influence secure‑by‑design decisions, and manage end‑of‑support lifecycle planning.
• Fluency in English (B2)
• Fluency in French is a plus
• Availability for Hybrid model 2 times a week (based in Lisbon)
• Based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit
