Winthrop Technologies Ltd. is seeking an MEP Lead to join our team in Sines, Portugal. You will manage mechanical, electrical and plumbing activities across the project lifecycle, coordinating with design, construction and commissioning teams.

The successful candidate will have 10+ years in large-scale data centre projects, strong leadership, and hands-on knowledge of MEP systems. This role offers a competitive salary and a clear development path within a rapidly growing digital infrastructure

Qualificações

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coordinate MEP services across design, construction, and commissioning.

• Oversee design documentation reviews, submittals, and method statements.

• Liaise with clients, consultants and stakeholders for alignment.
• Identify and resolve design/construct issues to maintain momentum.
• Drive commissioning readiness and handover of MEP systems.
• Support planning, forecasting, and progress tracking to hit milestones.

Winthrop Technologies is a dedicated data centre delivery partner providing turnkey solutions to our clients, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe.

We are currently constructing multiple turnkey data centre projects in 7 different European countries, equating to over 430 MW of IT load in flight.

We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking a MEP Lead to join our team in Sines, Portugal. The MEP Lead will be responsible for managing and coordinating all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing activities across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate MEP services across design, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Manage and support the MEP project team, including subcontractors, engineers, and supervisors.
• Oversee technical reviews, quality checks, and progress reporting.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and company procedures.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment
• Review and approve MEP design documentation, technical submittals, and method statements.
• Identify and resolve design or construction issues to maintain project momentum.
• Drive commissioning readiness and ensure smooth handover of MEP systems.
• Support project planning, forecasting, and progress tracking to achieve project milestones.

• Degree qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
• Minimum 10+ years' experience in large-scale construction or data centre projects, with a strong MEP focus.
• Proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of design coordination, MEP systems, and installation methodologies.
• Experience with data centre, industrial, or mission-critical projects is highly desirable.
