Qualificações

• 5+ years' experience as a Mechanical Supervisor.

• Solid knowledge of mechanical systems, preferably in data centre environments.

Responsabilidades

• Promote safe working practices across all trades.
• Lead toolbox talks and maintain safety focus.
• Manage QA of mechanical works.
• Prepare weekly progress reports on site activities.
• Produce weekly progress reports and flag risks to line manager.
• Coordinate mechanical works with other trades to avoid clashes and delays.
• Develop two-week lookahead programmes and manage labour to the plan.
• Ensure materials and equipment meet project specs and are properly stored.

Overview

Winthrop is a dedicated Data Centre Construction company providing turnkey solutions to our clients, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe. Winthrop specialises in providing Turnkey Data Centre Solutions, providing services from design, through to construction across the full range of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical services as well as commissioning. We are pleased to announce that we have a vacancy for a Mechanical Supervisor to join our on-site team in Portugal.

Responsibilities

• Taking a lead role in promoting safe working practices across all trades on site
• Leading weekly toolbox talks and keeping safety a daily focus on site
• Carrying out regular safety inspections, audits and walkdowns, and closing out any actions
• Managing and walking down QA of mechanical works to confirm installations meet drawings, specs and standards
• Completing inspections, snagging works and signing off QA documentation
• Preparing weekly progress reports that clearly set out progress and any issues
• Coordinating mechanical works with other trades to avoid clashes and delays
• Producing two-week lookahead programmes for upcoming activities
• Managing labour levels in line with the programme
• Maintaining high quality standards across all mechanical installations
• Monitoring subcontractor performance and addressing issues early
• Flagging variations, delays or risks to your line manager as they arise
• Checking that plant and materials meet project specifications
• Ensuring materials are stored safely and securely on site
• Confirming all subcontractor plant and access equipment is certified and fit for use
