Winthrop Technologies in Sines, Portugal is seeking an experienced MEP Lead to oversee mechanical, electrical and plumbing activities across the project lifecycle for our Europe-wide data centre initiatives.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate design and construction, ensure safety and quality compliance, and drive commissioning readiness toward a successful handover of critical MEP systems on landmark projects.

Qualificações

• 10+ years' experience in large-scale construction or data centre projects with a strong MEP focus.
• Proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and installation methodologies.
• Experience with data centre, industrial, or mission-critical projects is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coordinate MEP services across design, construction, and commissioning.
• Manage the MEP project team including subcontractors, engineers, and supervisors.
• Oversee technical reviews, quality checks, and progress reporting.

Winthrop Technologies is a dedicated data centre delivery partner providing turnkey solutions to our clients, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe.

We are currently constructing multiple turnkey data centre projects in 7 different European countries, equating to over 430 MW of IT load in flight.

We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking a MEP Lead to join our team in Sines, Portugal. The MEP Lead will be responsible for managing and coordinating all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing activities across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate MEP services across design, construction, and commissioning phases
• Manage and support the MEP project team, including subcontractors, engineers, and supervisors
• Oversee technical reviews, quality checks, and progress reporting
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and company procedures
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment
• Review and approve MEP design documentation, technical submittals, and method statements
• Identify and resolve design or construction issues to maintain project momentum
• Drive commissioning readiness and ensure smooth handover of MEP systems
• Support project planning, forecasting, and progress tracking to achieve project milestones

Requirements

• Degree qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline)
• Minimum 10+ years' experience in large-scale construction or data centre projects, with a strong MEP focus
• Proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong understanding of design coordination, MEP systems, and installation methodologies
• Experience with data centre, industrial, or mission-critical projects is highly desirable
