MSL Engineering Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Piping Supervisor to oversee on-site piping installation activities in Sines, Portugal. You will ensure work is conducted safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards, coordinating with multiple trades and subcontractors while maintaining strict HSE adherence.

Responsibilities include daily coordination, progress reporting, resource planning, and verification of materials and equipment to project specs.

Qualificações

• Experience supervising mechanical piping on-site.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Proficient in reading isometric drawings and piping QA/QC.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; MS Word/Excel.
• Essential: Navisworks 3D model experience.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and supervise all piping activities on site alongside other trades.
• Lead daily whiteboard meetings and deliver weekly toolbox talks.
• Prepare and submit weekly progress reports to the line manager.
• Ensure labour resources are effectively planned and aligned with project schedules.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality, and productivity.
• Supervise subcontractors to ensure efficiency and compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor and report variations, delays, and risks to the Construction Manager (CM) and Project Manager (PM).
• Verify all materials and plant on site meet project specifications.
• Ensure safe handling, storage, and coordination of delivered materials.
• Confirm all subcontractor plant and equipment is certified and fit for use.
• Enforce strict Health & Safety standards and promote a strong safety culture on site.
• Identify and implement improvements to working practices to enhance safety and efficiency.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across all work areas.

Role Overview

The Mechanical Piping Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing piping installation works on site, ensuring all activities are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves coordination with multiple trades, subcontractor management, and maintaining strict compliance with project and HSE requirements.

• Prepare and submit weekly progress reports to the line manager
• Ensure labour resources are effectively planned and aligned with project schedules
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality, and productivity
• Supervise subcontractors to ensure efficiency and compliance with project requirements

• Previous experience in a Mechanical Piping Supervisor role
• Pharma project experience is highly advantageous
• Strong ability to read and interpret isometric drawings
• Good knowledge of piping installation, testing, and QA/QC requirements
• Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Essential: Experience using Navisworks 3D model
