MSL Engineering Ltd. is seeking a Mechanical Piping Supervisor in Sines, Portugal, to oversee piping installation works on site, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and top quality.

The role requires coordination with multiple trades, subcontractor management, and strict compliance with project and HSE requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience reading isometrics, knowledge of piping installation/testing/QA/QC, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualificações

• Deliver daily safety briefings and toolbox talks.
• Submit weekly progress reports to line manager.
• Plan labour resources to align with project schedules.
• Supervise subcontractors for efficiency and compliance.
• Identify and report variations, delays, and risks to CM/PM.
• Ensure materials and plant meet project specs.
• Promote strict Health & Safety standards on site.

Role Overview

The Mechanical Piping Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing piping installation works on site, ensuring all activities are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

This role involves coordination with multiple trades, subcontractor management, and maintaining strict compliance with project and HSE requirements.

Requirements

• Coordinate and supervise all piping activities on site alongside other trades
• Lead daily whiteboard meetings and deliver weekly toolbox talks
• Prepare and submit weekly progress reports to the line manager
• Ensure labour resources are effectively planned and aligned with project schedules
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality, and productivity
• Supervise subcontractors to ensure efficiency and compliance with project requirements
• Monitor and report variations, delays, and risks to the Construction Manager (CM) and Project Manager (PM)
• Verify all materials and plant on site meet project specifications
• Ensure safe handling, storage, and coordination of delivered materials
  
• Confirm all subcontractor plant and equipment is certified and fit for use
• Enforce strict Health & Safety standards and promote a strong safety culture on site
• Identify and implement improvements to working practices to enhance safety and efficiency
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across all work areas
• Previous experience in a Mechanical Piping Supervisor role
• Pharma project experience is highly advantageous
• Strong ability to read and interpret isometric drawings
• Good knowledge of piping installation, testing, and QA/QC requirements
• Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Essential: Experience using Navisworks 3D model
