Job summary

agap2 indústria seeks a motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Portugal. The ideal candidate will oversee preventive and predictive maintenance, analyze failures, and drive reliability improvements across rotating equipment, pumps, motors, conveyors, and related systems.

You will collaborate with engineering and HSE teams, manage spare parts, and support installation and commissioning of new equipment.

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience in maintenance engineering in industrial/manufacturing.
Knowledge of rotating equipment, pumps, motors, conveyors, hydraulics and pneumatics.
Familiarity with safety regs and quality control procedures.
Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance.
Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
Excellent communication in Portuguese and English.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement preventive/predictive maintenance plans for mechanical equipment.
Analyze failures and lead root-cause investigations.
Monitor equipment performance and drive reliability improvements.
Support troubleshooting and provide mechanical expertise.
Manage spare parts strategies and inventory optimization.
Collaborate with engineering and HSE teams for safe operations.
Drive continuous improvement for asset reliability and cost reduction.
Support installation, commissioning and qualification of new equipment.
