Job summary

Addvolt is seeking a Mechanical Engineer focused on vehicle applications and sustainability to join our Systems & Application team in Matosinhos/Porto. Translate customer and vehicle requirements into robust integration solutions.

The role emphasizes mechanical design, 3D CAD, and collaboration with Systems, Electrical, Software and Field Service teams to deliver cleaner transport solutions. English fluency is essential and occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Experience in mechanical design, product development, vehicle integration or industrial equipment integration.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and 2D drawings; Creo experience preferred.
• Knowledge of PLM and BOM management; Windchill experience valued.
• English communication and ability to interpret customer specifications and validation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer, vehicle and system requirements into mechanical specifications.
• Develop integration concepts for Addvolt/Carrier systems, including mounting, brackets and interfaces.
• Create and review 3D models, 2D drawings, tolerances and installation layouts using Creo.
• Support prototype builds, commissioning and field validation with multidisciplinary teams.
• Apply DFx and sustainability principles to application solutions.
• Coordinate actions with customers, installers, suppliers and internal teams.
