Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation's Addvolt unit seeks a Field Application Engineer in Porto to support integration, installation, commissioning and validation of our systems with vehicle OEM platforms. You will collaborate with customers, OEM teams and service partners to ensure safe, robust deployments.

The role requires a hands-on engineer with strong troubleshooting, system-level thinking and international travel readiness. Fluent English is essential for communication with global partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Automotive Engineering or related field.
• Proven ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specs.
• Experience in field engineering, systems integration, or product validation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the technical integration of Addvolt/Carrier products with trucks, trailers and OEM interfaces.
• Perform site surveys and validation activities at customer, OEM or service-partner sites.
• Define and verify electrical, mechanical and CAN interfaces and communications.
• Coordinate issue resolution with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance to customers.
• Capture field feedback for product improvements and support pilot installations.
