Job summary

Bosch Service Solutions S.A. in Ovar, Portugal, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to drive design and manufacturing technologies for the eBike program.

You will develop and validate advanced assembly processes and manufacturing capabilities with internal and external partners. Responsibilities include evaluating process requirements, ensuring product designs meet manufacturing constraints, and coordinating across international teams to enable a seamless transition from prototype to high-volume

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.
• 5+ years in mechanical design, process development or industrialization.
• Strong knowledge of assembly processes (injection molding, welding, gluing, taping, automated assembly).
• 3D CAD modeling with GD&T; Creo experience preferred.
• Excellent English; willingness to travel and collaborate across teams worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate DFMA reviews to ensure smooth prototype-to-mass-production transition.
• Support industrialization phase and mass production ramp-up by evaluating process requirements and line readiness.
• Analyze product requirements to ensure designs meet manufacturing and assembly constraints.
• Coordinate alignment between development departments and manufacturing partners globally.

Lead and coordinatecomprehensive Design for Manufacturing and Assembly(DFMA) reviewsto guarantee a seamless transition from prototype to mass production. What distinguishes you:

Education

University degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Automation, or related technical discipline

Experience and Know-how

Industry Experience: More than 5 years of proven professional experience in mechanical design, process development, automation, or industrialization.

Manufacturing Technologies: Strong knowledge of diverse mechanical assembly processes, such as plastic injection molding, welding, gluing, taping, and automated assembly systems.

3D Design & Tolerancing: Solid experience in 3D CAD modeling and technical drawing creation, with advanced knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). PracticalexperiencewithPTC CREOishighlypreferred.

Partner Coordination: Demonstratedexperience coordinating development, tooling, and manufacturing partners.

Domain Expertise: Prior experience or interest in consumer electronics, outdoor hardware products, smart displays, ECUs, or IoT devices, is considered a plus.

Fluency in English (written and spoken).
