Job summary
Boschgroup in Aveiro is seeking an Development & Test Engineer to drive virtual testing and system-level validation for residential heat pumps. You will translate requirements into robust test cases, develop MATLAB/Simulink models, and correlate simulations with bench data.
You will collaborate with manufacturing and certification teams, support production ramp-up, and apply FMEA/8D/DRBFM to enhance quality. A hybrid work environment and ongoing professional development are offered.
Qualifications
- Experience in system testing, physical simulation, or data correlation using MATLAB/Simulink.
- Proven ability to define test specs, data acquisition, and evaluate results.
- Knowledge of thermodynamics, refrigeration, fluids, or heat transfer; HVAC/heat pumps a plus.
- Familiarity with product development quality tools (FMEA, 8D, DRBFM).
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute virtual and system-level tests for residential heat pump systems.
- Create and apply validation strategies and test cases; correlate simulations with bench data.
- Coordinate product validation, certification support, and technical documentation.
- Support production ramp-up and align test methods with assembly constraints.
- Apply quality methodologies to drive continuous improvement in the portfolio.
