Job summary

Yazaki Europe Middle East and Africa in Ovar, Portugal seeks a Material Controller Specialist to support profitability through material cost analysis, savings tracking and data-driven decision-making. You will ensure accurate reporting and provide insights for Sales, Purchasing, Controlling and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities include dashboard creation, budget/forecast reporting, and data quality across purchasing systems, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• University degree in Economics, Business Administration or/and Accounting.
• Background in Costing and/or Controlling activities.
• High personal motivation and the ability to develop practical or innovative alternative approaches to meet objectives.
• Advanced English language skills.
• Strong communication skills to different levels on the organization.
• Proficient user in Microsoft Office, mainly Excel.
• Willingness to travel (about 10%).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to profit improvement, saving measures and data quality improvement of purchasing database.
• Provide dashboards of component details enabling data link of Sales, Project, Plant, Finished Goods, Components and Suppliers.
• Support Sales and Purchasing with analysis and trend-based decision-making.
• Provide budget, forecast and actual of material saving and market impact to Divisions and Plants.
• Support Vertical Integration activities.
• Ensure data accuracy, deadlines, reporting credibility and reliable communication.
• Ensure component price accuracy across different systems to minimize price variance.
• Collaborate with Sales, Cost Engineering, Controlling, Purchasing, Logistics, Plants and IT.

Position Mission:

he Material Controlling Specialist supports business profitability and operational excellence through material cost analysis, savings tracking, and data-driven decision-making. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining high-quality purchasing and pricing data, and providing meaningful insights to support Sales, Purchasing, Controlling, and other key stakeholders

Responsabilities

Material Controlling:

a. Contribute to profit improvement, saving measures and data quality improvement of purchasing database

b. Provide dashboards of component details enabling data link of Sales_Project_Plant_Finished Goods_Components_Suppliers

c. Support Sales and Purchasing with the decision-making by proactively providing meaningful analysis and exploiting trends.

Reporting

a. Provide budget, forecast and actual of material saving and market impact to Divisions and Plants

b. Support Vertical Integration activities

c. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, deadlines, reporting credibility and reliable communication

Process and Tool Optimization

a. Ensure component price accuracy across different systems to minimize price variance

b. Proactively propose business processes optimization, useful toolsets and insightful reports

c. Collaborate with other functions, i.e. Sales, Cost Engineering, Controlling, Purchasing, Logistics, Plants and IT mainly

Requirements:
