Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a motivated Marketing Intern in Portugal to join the Surgery Marketing team. You will gain hands-on experience across marketing, events, analytics and commercial operations working with the Marketing Manager and cross-functional teams.

This internship offers opportunities to learn product, market and KPI analysis while collaborating with regional teams in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate, final-year student or early-career professional motivated to develop experience in marketing, project coordination, business support or event management.
  • Degree in Marketing, Management, Business Administration, Communications or a related field.
  • Fluent Portuguese and strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interest in learning new tools, technologies and business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist, under guidance, in the execution of marketing initiatives and campaigns.
  • Learn how to adapt and update marketing materials for local use.
  • Support the creation of presentations and internal communication materials, incorporating feedback from the team.
  • Help keep marketing resources and documentation organised and up to date, following established processes.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated, organized and curious individual to join our Surgery Marketing team in Portugal.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in marketing, business operations and project coordination within the healthcare industry. Working closely with the Marketing Manager and cross‑functional teams, you will support the execution of key business activities while developing skills across marketing, event management, analytics and commercial operations.

This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys working in a dynamic environment and is looking to build a strong foundation for a future career in marketing or business.

What You Will Do
Support Marketing Activities
  • Assist, under guidance, in the execution of marketing initiatives and campaigns.
  • Learn how to adapt and update marketing materials for local use.
  • Support the creation of presentations and internal communication materials, incorporating feedback from the team.
  • Help keep marketing resources and documentation organised and up to date, following established processes.
Support Events & Congresses
  • Assist, with supervision, in the planning and coordination of congresses, meetings and educational events.
  • Gain experience in supporting communication with internal and external stakeholders involved in events.
  • Learn how to maintain the annual calendar of marketing activities and events.
  • Contribute to the execution of marketing projects as part of the wider team.
Support Business Operations
  • Assist with day‑to‑day business activities under the guidance of the team.
  • Learn how to maintain trackers, reports and internal documentation.
  • Prepare draft meeting summaries and support follow‑up on action items.
  • Help organise information and resources across digital collaboration platforms, following team standards.
  • Support cross‑functional projects and learn how different business teams work together.
Learn About the Business
  • Gain introductory exposure to product, market and competitor analysis.
  • Learn how to support the monitoring of business performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Participate in cross‑functional and regional meetings as a learning opportunity.
  • Develop, through observation and practical experience, an understanding of how marketing, sales and operations collaborate to drive business success.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications

  • Interest in healthcare, medical devices or life sciences.
