RONIN International is seeking a Market Research Fieldwork Manager to lead the end-to-end execution of fieldwork projects from initiation to delivery in Porto, Portugal.

You will partner with clients, internal teams, and external suppliers to plan, recruit participants, oversee testing and data collection across CATI, online surveys, focus groups and IDIs, while ensuring quality, timelines, and profitability. This role requires strong organisation, deadline discipline and ESOMAR compliance.

Qualificações

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Marketing, Business Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in market research, fieldwork management, or project management.
  • Strong understanding of market research methodologies, recruitment, and fieldwork operations.
  • Experience managing multiple market research projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with survey platforms and data collection tools.
  • Excellent client management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

  • Review project specifications, costings, and fieldwork requirements.
  • Attend project kick-off meetings with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and review screeners, discussion guides, and questionnaires.
  • Test programmed questionnaires to ensure best practice data collection.
  • Brief and manage internal fieldwork teams and external suppliers.
  • Oversee participant recruitment and fieldwork activities across projects.
  • Monitor timelines, budgets, profitability, and resource allocation.
  • Manage project scope, change requests, and scope creep.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication.
  • Identify risks and implement solutions to minimise delays.
  • Ensure ESOMAR guidelines and company procedures are followed.
  • Complete project administration and close-out activities.
  • Coordinate data collection across online surveys, CATI, focus groups, and IDIs.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Market Research Fieldwork Manager to join our team in Porto, Portugal.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the successful execution of market research fieldwork projects from initiation through completion. Working closely with clients, internal teams, and external suppliers, you will oversee project planning, participant recruitment, fieldwork operations, quality assurance, and project profitability to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review project specifications, costing sheets, and fieldwork requirements.
  • Attend project kick-off meetings with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and review screeners, discussion guides, and questionnaires.
  • Review and test programmed questionnaires to ensure best practice data collection, working closely with Scripting, Translation, Testing, and Data Processing teams.
  • Brief and manage internal fieldwork teams and external suppliers to ensure successful project execution.
  • Oversee participant recruitment and fieldwork activities across multiple projects.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, profitability, and resource allocation.
  • Manage project scope, change requests, and scope creep.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and regular project updates.
  • Identify project risks and implement effective solutions to minimise delays and ensure successful delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with ESOMAR guidelines, quality standards, and company procedures.
  • Complete project administration, including project close-out activities and lessons learned.
  • Support research design activities, including sampling methodologies and questionnaire development.
  • Coordinate data collection across various methodologies, including online surveys, telephone interviews (CATI), focus groups, and in-depth interviews.
  • Drive continuous improvements to fieldwork processes and operational efficiency.
QualificationsEssential
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Communication Research, Marketing, Business Management, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in market research, fieldwork management, or project management within a market research agency.
  • Strong understanding of market research methodologies, participant recruitment, and fieldwork operations.
  • Experience managing multiple market research projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with survey platforms and data collection tools.
  • Excellent client management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Desirable
  • Experience managing international or multi-country research projects.
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ESOMAR guidelines and market research quality standards.
  • Experience working with survey platforms such as Qualtrics, Decipher, Forsta/Confirmit, or similar.
  • Experience coordinating external suppliers and fieldwork vendors.
