Job summary

VistaJet in Lisbon is seeking a Maintenance Operations Controller to coordinate maintenance issues, ensure airworthiness and maximize fleet utilization. You will interact with pilots and other teams, resolving technical issues with on-the-job training.

You will report to the MOC Manager and work an office-based 4-on-4-off schedule, including 12-hour day shifts and monthly night shift rotations.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of maintenance operations and aircraft manuals.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• EASA license Cat B or equivalent qualification.
• Five years of aeronautical industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for maintenance/technical issues with flight crew.
• Evaluate discrepancies and develop recovery plans while tracking RTS progress.
• Ensure regulatory and company policy compliance.

The Role

Maintenance Operations Control is the critical point of communication for various departments such as Maintenance Planning, Logistics, Engineering, and Operations, to ensure our aircraft are airworthy, and enable VistaJet to provide exceptional levels of service for our clients, through maximum fleet utilization.

Our highly respected Maintenance Operations Controllers make calls on the serviceability and safety of aircraft. Working closing with the rest of VistaJet’s Operations Control Centre, you will take calls from pilots experiencing technical issues and will help them resolve issues using the training provided by VistaJet, and your previous maintenance experience.

Due to the ongoing demand of business aviation, we are recruiting highly motivated Maintenance Operations Controllers to join our growing team in Lisbon.

Your Responsibilities

To succeed as a Maintenance Operations Controller, you will require a high level of multi-tasking and problem solving under pressure.

Reporting to the MOC Manager your responsibilities will include:

• Acting as Flight Crew focal point of contact for any maintenance/technical issues;
• Evaluating reported aircraft discrepancies, developing and communicating appropriate recovery plans while diligently tracking RTS progress;
• Ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies;
• Parts requisition and coordination.

This is an office-based role. You will be working on a 4-on-4-off roster. Your 4 on will be comprised of 12 hour day shifts, with one rotation per month covering night shift.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

• Working knowledge of maintenance operations and aircraft related technical manuals, along with understanding of manufacturer’s maintenance programs;
• Highly flexible and ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
• Fluent in spoken and written English;
• High degree of computer literacy.
• EASA license Cat B or equivalent qualification and experiences.
• Five years of experience in the aeronautical industry in an appropriate position.

Full training in Malta will be provided, with the opportunity to complete a type-rating and spend time working in our Part 145 organisation, in Farnborough Airport.
