Natixis in Portugal is seeking a motivated COBOL Mainframe Developer (French speaker) to join the BPCE SI team. You will design, develop, and maintain COBOL applications, working with business analysts to gather requirements and ensuring high-quality software delivery within a banking context.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in COBOL, strong Pacbase experience, and is fluent in English with mandatory French proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional COBOL development experience.
• Proficiency in Pacbase and related tools and frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills in English; French proficiency is mandatory.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in COBOL development within the banking sector and be proficient in both French and English.

This role requires to overview design, develop, and maintain COBOL applications in compliance with business requirements. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and define requirements. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to COBOL and mainframe development.
