SBM Offshore in Porto seeks a long-term modeling analyst to contribute to financial models and projections for the company. You will maintain and build models, analyze data, and prepare reports in collaboration with the reporting team.

The role supports strategic planning, budgeting, liquidity, and forecasting long-term performance. Strong Excel and consolidation tools experience, fluency in English, and the ability to work in an international team are essential.

Qualificações

• Master degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent; CPA/ACCA/CFA or equivalent is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in international audit, corporate finance, FP&A, reporting, consolidation, or similar in a large listed company.
• Experience in Oil & Gas / FPSO market or project-based business models is a plus.

Purpose

• As long-term modeling analyst you are partticipating to the analysis and preparation (sometimes creation) of financial models and projections for the company.
• Your participate to the 6YP preparation crucial for strategic planning, budgeting, liquidity, investment analysis, and forecasting long-term financial performance.

Responsibilities

• You will be mainly responsible for maintaining, building and analyzing SBM specific models. The principal model covers the profit and loss and cash forecast for the group as a whole in the long term. You therefore are to extract data from different sources, consolidate, run scenarios and integrate them into a comprehensive report. This is done in close collaboration with the reporting team especially the reporting analyst.
• You are able to perform effective analytical reviews with appropriate level of detail, understand the implications and present the results to relevant stakeholders. The models are critical in order for SBM to simulate the impact arising from different scenarios and to make informed business decisions. These models will be incorporated in management reporting. You are not only able to review but also to challenge and validate the results with relevant business owners Next to the business impact you have in this role, you have significant space to maneuver and room for improvement.

Education

• Master degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent; relevant professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent is a plus.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in an international audit firm, corporate finance, FP&A, reporting, consolidation, business control, or a similar corporate position in a large listed company.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas / FPSO market or project-based business models is a plus
• Furthermore you have the following skills and experience:
• Advanced skills in Excel (particularly pivot and database) and IT/consolidation tools such as SAP, Business Objects and SAP Financial Consolidation
• Skills in Corporate Finance activities,
• Self-motivated, proactive and ability to function in a tight deadline oriented environment,
• You have experience and like to work in an international team environment and manage ambiguity,
• Fluent in English both written and verbal
• Proactive, analytical
• Ability to work over short deadline
