SBM Offshore is seeking a Finance System Specialist in Porto to ensure seamless operation of critical Finance systems and drive efficiency across the finance function. You will oversee stability, integrations, and stakeholder coordination with IT and ERP initiatives.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in financial systems, strong Excel, SQL, and PowerBI skills, and a track record of optimizing processes within Treasury, Accounting, or Consolidation.

Qualificações

• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial systems or related roles.
• Proven track record in overseeing and maintaining finance systems.
• Deep understanding of Treasury, Accounting, Consolidation.
• Familiarity with IT project management and change management principles.

Purpose

• As a Finance System Specialist, your mission is to ensure the seamless operation of critical Finance systems. You’ll drive process improvement, manage stakeholder relationships, and champion innovation—contributing to the success of the Finance organization.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Continuity:
  • Oversee and maintain the stability and functionality of the relevant Finance systems including IT administrator responsibilities.
  • Ensure seamless operations to support financial transactions and risk management.
• Process Improvement:
  • Drive the development and implementation of technical frameworks that enhance efficiency within the Finance function.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and workflows.
• Stakeholder Management:
  • Manage relationships with IT project management and change management teams.
  • Facilitate communication and alignment between Finance discipline requirements and ERP program initiatives.
• Promote innovation within the department by identifying solutions that enhance process efficiency.
• Encourage creative thinking and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree (University or "Haute Ecole Spécialisée" (HES)) in IT, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees (such as Master’s in Finance or relevant certifications) are a plus.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial system, or related roles.
• Proven track record in overseeing and maintaining the relevant Finance system(s).
• Deep understanding of the relevant Finance discipline (e.g. Treasury, Accounting, Consolidation)
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and workflows.
• Familiarity with IT project management and change management principles.
• Knowledge of innovation practices and continuous improvement efforts.
• Ability to drive strategic decision-making and foster creative thinking.
• Knowledge of the relevant Finance system(s)
• Profound knowledge of Excel, SQL, PowerBI a must.
