BA Glass Group in Portugal is seeking a Transport Assistant to organize, monitor, and bill shipments to and from BA GLASS plants. You will act as single point of contact for the supply chain, providing cost-efficient, on-time transport solutions and ensuring reliable service.

You will plan daily transport activities, coordinate with carriers, update ERP data, monitor OTIF, and support cost control and continuous improvement.

Qualificações

• University degree in Logistics, Procurement or relevant job experience.
• Portuguese and English fluency required.
• Excellent communication skills, dynamism and proactivity.
• Team player but autonomous.
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications.
• SAP and TMS preferred.
• Previous experience in similar roles is a plus.
• Results orientation.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and coordinate daily transport activities for finished goods.
• Coordinate with carriers to ensure on-time delivery of products.
• Monitor shipments and proactively solve transports issues and delays.
• Maintain regular communication with warehouses, planning, carriers and logistics service providers.
• Update and maintain accurate information in ERP system and transport management tools.
• Validate and process transports invoices.
• Support transport cost control and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Schedule loading and unloading activities to ensure operational efficiency.
• Monitor service levels and delivery performance (OTIF).
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and transportation legislation.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Production Planning, and Warehouse teams to manage product availability and shipments.
• Handle customer complaints and transportation-related claims.
• Manage urgent shipments and replan deliveries when production or customer requirements change.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within transports and logistics processes.
• Contribute to carrier performance evaluation and supplier relationship management.
