Winthrop Technologies is seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor to join our expanding team in Setúbal, Portugal. You will oversee the coordination and management of all site logistics activities, ensuring safe, efficient and well-organised flow of materials across the project.

Working closely with subcontractors, suppliers and site teams, you will manage delivery scheduling, storage allocation and labour coordination while upholding health and safety and operational efficiency.

Qualificações

• 3rd level qualification in engineering or construction is desirable.
• Strong trades background with 1+ year in a similar role.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Practical knowledge of managing loads, storage space, sub-contractors and operatives.
• Ability to coordinate deliveries and site logistics safely and efficiently.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the compound for all available storage areas on site.
• Booking and coordination of delivery of materials.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors for deliveries from off-site storage.
• Maintain organisation to ensure orderly site deliveries.
• Attend pre-start meetings with sub-contractors to align on storage and deliveries.
• Encourage just-in-time deliveries to reduce congestion.
• Prevent congestion and ensure safe loading/unloading within the compound.
• Supervise operatives to uphold health & safety and work ethics.
• Record and trace labour allocation and work reports.

As our operations continue to expand across Europe, we are seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor to join our growing team in Sines, Portugal and play a key role in the successful delivery of mission-critical infrastructure projects.

As a Logistics Supervisor, you will play a key role in the coordination and management of all site logistics activities, ensuring the safe, efficient, and organised flow of materials across the project. Working closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams, you will oversee delivery scheduling, compound management, storage allocation, and labour coordination while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities

• Manage the compound for all available storage areas on site.
• Booking and Coordination of delivery of materials.
• Coordinate with Sub Contractors to ensure their understanding of locations for all deliveries from off-site storage facility to the site in a safe manner and follow all instructions.
• Maintain good organisational skills to ensure deliveries are coming to site in an orderly manner.
• Attend pre-start meetings with sub-contractors to ensure they have full understanding of the challenges on-site, storage space and locations and booking of deliveries through the Datascope system.
• Encourage all contractors to adopt a "just in time" approach to each delivery and ensure all deliveries are complete.
• Prevent congestion and blockage of site roads, all loading and unloading of works-related vehicles must be within the compound.
• Manage operatives to ensure the correct duties and responsibilities of health & safety and work ethics are being followed.
• Record and trace labour allocation and work reports.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in an engineering or construction related field is desirable.
• Strong trades background, with 1+ years' experience in a similar role.
• Ideally you will have 1+ years' experience in a similar role.
• Strong, proven leadership skills and experience of managing a team.
• In depth practical knowledge of managing loads, storage space, sub-contractors and operatives.
