About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Logistics & Operations Specialist to coordinate warehouse and logistics activities across our Portuguese and UK entities. The successful candidate will support inventory control, customer order fulfilment, inbound and outbound logistics, customs compliance, and overall inventory accuracy.

This position serves as a key local point of contact for logistics and warehouse activities, working closely with Supply Chain, Quality, Customer Service, Operations, suppliers, customers, freight carriers, and customs partners to ensure materials are received, inspected, recorded, and shipped accurately and on time.

The role combines hands-on operational responsibilities with analytical and continuous improvement activities. The successful candidate will be expected to proactively resolve logistics and inventory issues while identifying opportunities to improve quality, reduce costs, increase inventory accuracy, and streamline processes.

This position requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of international logistics, customs procedures, and warehouse operations. Fluency in English is required, as the role will work closely with colleagues, suppliers, customers, logistics providers, and customs partners across Portugal and the United Kingdom. The position also requires travel between the two locations at least twice per year.

This is an onsite (not remote) position in Portugal with 9am-6pm UK working hours. Job is located in Gafanha da Encarnação in the municipality of Ílhavo.

Salary Range: €20,000.00 To €25,000.00 Annually

Key Responsibilities:
Receiving, Inventory & Warehouse Operations
  • Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping activities
  • Receive and verify incoming materials, ensuring accurate system transactions and inventory records
  • Investigate and resolve inventory and receiving discrepancies
  • Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy
  • Support product assembly and basic repair activities as required
Quality Support
  • Conduct incoming inspections and ensure compliance with established quality standards
  • Identify, document, and coordinate resolution of nonconforming materials and supplier quality issues
  • Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and suppliers to resolve quality concerns
Returns, RMA & Warranty Management
  • Coordinate customer and supplier returns, RMA processing, and warranty claims
  • Receive, document, and process returned products, ensuring proper disposition and system updates
  • Support resolution activities, including replacement, repair, and credit processing
  • Monitor return trends and elevate recurring issues for corrective action
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory, logistics, quality, and warehouse operations
  • Analyze operational data, support root‑cause investigations, and maintain process documentation
  • Track and report operational improvements and cost-saving initiatives
Reporting & Communication
  • Prepare operational and logistics reports and maintain accurate records
  • Build effective relationships with customers, suppliers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders
  • Communicate effectively across global teams and support cross-functional initiatives
  • Ensure work is completed accurately, on time, and in alignment with company objectives
Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • 2-5+ years of professional experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations, inventory management, or a related field
  • 1+ year of international shipping experience (e.g., inbound, outbound, customs, etc.)
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong background coordinating inbound and outbound transportation
  • Good understanding of customs and international trade processes, particularly between the UK, Northern Ireland, and the European Union
  • Working knowledge of inventory control and cycle counting processes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to investigate operational issues, identify root causes, and coordinate solutions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience working with ERP, inventory management, or warehouse management systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and communicate cross‑functional with suppliers, customers, freight providers, and internal teams
  • Experience with international transportation, incoterms, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and import/export documentation
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement training or experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or technical product environment
  • Knowledge of pneumatic tools, industrial tools, or engineering products
