Cloudflare is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to support our largest customers, resolving threats on OSI layers 3–7 and leveraging tools like Magic Transit, WAF, and Network Firewall. You’ll collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve tools and protect client infrastructure.

Lisbon-based candidates can expect compensation aligned to €38,000–€52,000 annually, with equity eligibility and a strong focus on customer-facing security solutions.

Qualificações

• Self-driven and capable of learning new technologies with little guidance.
• Fundamental understanding of how the Internet works (OSI Model).
• Advanced understanding of modern internet protocols like TCP and UDP.
• Computer Networking fundamentals, experience with iptables and looking glass.
• Experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues, BGP routing, and GRE tunnels.
• Packet capture analysis.
• Experience in a command line and tools, including curl, dig, traceroute, openssl, git.
• Experience in a web development/hosting environment with Apache, Nginx, Caddy or IIS.

Responsabilidades

• Communicate with customers via chat, email, and phone.
• DDoS mitigation for OSI layers 3,4, & 7; advise on filtering malicious traffic using Cloudflare tools.
• Work with Engineering and Operations teams to mitigate attacks and apply mitigation steps.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to improve products and tools.
