Job summary

Siemens Energy in Lisbon seeks a Head of Industrial Turbine Controls to lead the Controls Engineering team, oversee project scopes from handover to FAT, and coordinate with customers and global locations. You will drive engineering governance and implement standardized, high-quality solutions.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Automation/Control/Industrial Engineering, several years in controls or project leadership, strong PLC/DCS/HMI knowledge, and fluency in Portuguese and English.

Qualifications

University degree in Electrical/Automation/Control/Industrial Engineering or similar.
Several years of experience in Controls Engineering, automation, industrial steam turbines, or project leadership.
Strong knowledge of DCS/PLC/HMI, networks, cybersecurity, FAT/commissioning.
Experience with T3000, PCS7, SIMATIC, S7, COMOS, and EPLAN advantageous.
Fluent Portuguese and English; willing to travel ~25%.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Controls Engineering team across global locations.
Oversee execution of industrial turbine Controls projects including scope, milestones, costs, and risk.
Harmonize standards, architectures, workflows, and reusable Controls solutions.
Coordinate technical requirements for control systems, automation, HMI, cybersecurity, and interfaces.
Ensure delivery of engineering documentation, FAT readiness, and project closure within schedule and budget.
Strengthen resource planning and continuous improvement across the team.
Collaborate across global locations to align with the international project execution model.
