EliteHosts Library in Porto is seeking a Library Assistant to support the Librarian in daily operations, organize materials, help patrons locate and check out books, and perform cataloging and data entry.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Library Science (or is pursuing one), strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for literacy and service. This full-time role offers a stable schedule based in Porto.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (or currently pursuing).
• Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of library cataloging systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Passion for promoting literacy and providing excellent customer service.

Responsabilidades

• Assist patrons with finding and checking out books.
• Maintain organization of library materials.
• Catalog new acquisitions into the library system.
• Perform data entry for circulation records.
• Assist with creating displays and promoting library events.
• Process book donations and maintain donation records.
• Monitor noise levels and enforce library rules as needed.
• Assist with reference inquiries and research requests.
