SynerData in Porto, Portugal is seeking a Junior Librarian to support daily library operations. You will assist patrons, locate materials, and help maintain the collection. This entry-level role welcomes candidates with a high school diploma and strong communication skills.

You’ll gain experience with cataloging basics and customer service while handling lightweight tasks in a friendly team. This position is based in Porto and requires legal work authorization in Portugal.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelors degree in Library Science or related field preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others
• Basic knowledge of library classification systems and principles of organization
• Comfortable using basic technology tools such as computers printers scanners etc
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time

Responsabilidades

• Provide friendly and efficient customer service to library patrons
• Assist with locating and retrieving materials from the collection
• Process new materials for circulation and maintain accurate records
• Shelve and organize library materials according to established standards
• Help with basic technology troubleshooting for library equipment
• Participate in library outreach programs and events
