The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, knowledge of cataloguing systems, and strong communication and organizational skills. Salary offers 1,500 USD per month with accommodation; visa sponsorship is available for the right candidate who meets all requirements.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team in Porto. As a librarian you will be responsible for managing and organizing library materials assisting patrons with research and information requests and promoting library services to the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain the library collection including books periodicals audiovisual materials and digital resources
• Catalogue new materials using standard classification systems
• Assist patrons with research inquiries and finding relevant resources
• Promote library services through outreach programs and events
• Manage circulation of materials including checking items inout and collecting finesfees

• Train and supervise library staff members
• Keep up-to-date with new technologies and trends in library services

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Library Science or a related field
• Previous experience working in a library setting preferred
• Knowledge of cataloguing systems eg Dewey Decimal Classification
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups of people
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to adapt to changing technologies

Salary

We offer a competitive salary of 1500$ per month for this full-time position. Additionally we provide accommodation for our employees.
