Lever, Inc. seeks Legal Annotators to support AI training for contract management platforms in Portuguese (Portugal). This freelance, remote, part-time role offers flexible hours and an immediate start.

You will perform multilingual legal data tasks, analyze clauses and terms in contracts, and participate in calibration sessions to ensure high-quality data in secure client environments. Prior legal experience and language proficiency are valued.

Qualifications

• Legal expertise in contract or legal domain with cross-jurisdictional knowledge.
• Fluency in English and the target language.
• Experience with data annotation or ML data evaluation is a plus.

What We’re Looking For:

• Legal Expertise: Contract or legal domain expertise, with strong legal interpretation and contract-review skills (especially regarding international and cross-jurisdictional contracts).
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English alongside the relevant target language.
• AI & Data Capabilities (Preferred): Prior data-annotation experience or familiarity with machine learning data evaluation and quality assurance tasks.
