Job Overview

Lead Product Analyst – LMS Transformation (SumTotal to SAP SuccessFactors)

Position Summary

The Lead Product Analyst will play a key role in Milestone’s enterprise Learning Management System (LMS) transformation initiative, supporting the migration from SumTotal LMS to SAP SuccessFactors Learning. This individual will serve as the liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, functional workstream leads, and implementation partners to ensure learning processes, curricula, training content, and learner data are successfully transitioned into the future-state platform.

This role combines product analysis, business process optimization, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and learning systems expertise. The Lead Product Analyst will help define product requirements, drive current-state and future-state assessments, facilitate decision-making, and support migration, validation, and adoption activities across multiple business functions including HR, Legal, Compliance, Quality, and other regulated business areas.

The ideal candidate will bring strong LMS experience, a proactive mindset, exceptional communication skills, and experience working in regulated environments with cross-functional and global teams.

Contract Duration: Initial 12-month engagement with the potential for a 3-month extension through late 2027.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Business Analysis

• Lead discovery sessions to understand current LMS processes, training programs, and business requirements.
• Conduct current-state and future-state assessments of training curricula, learning assignments, certifications, and compliance-driven learning programs.
• Gather, document, and prioritize business, functional, and product requirements supporting the SAP SuccessFactors Learning implementation.
• Develop business process flows, user stories, product requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders regarding learning process optimization and system capabilities.

LMS Migration & Transformation

• Support the migration from SumTotal LMS to SAP SuccessFactors Learning.
• Assess training curricula, learning content, historical training records, and associated metadata for migration readiness.
• Partner with workstream leads to determine migration approaches, including direct migration, consolidation, redesign, or archival of learning content.
• Support curriculum mapping, data migration planning, validation, reconciliation, and testing activities.
• Help establish future-state learning governance, standards, and operational processes.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Facilitate workshops, requirements sessions, decision-making meetings, and working groups.
• Collaborate with HR, Quality, Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, and business stakeholders to align learning requirements and priorities.
• Communicate complex system and process changes in a clear, concise, and business-friendly manner.
• Drive resolution of questions, issues, risks, and competing priorities.
• Build strong relationships across business and technical teams to ensure successful delivery.

Data Analysis & Quality

• Analyze training data, curriculum structures, learning assignments, and historical records.
• Identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, duplicates, and compliance risks.
• Support data cleansing and remediation efforts prior to migration.
• Create dashboards, trackers, reports, and metrics to support program decision-making.
• Assist with migration validation and post-conversion reconciliation activities.

Product Delivery Support

• Partner with Product Managers, Program Managers, and implementation teams to support delivery activities.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, testing, and release readiness activities when applicable.
• Track product decisions, action items, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder approvals.
• Contribute to user acceptance testing (UAT), training readiness, and deployment planning.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Human Resources, Education, Life Sciences, or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 12 years of experience as a Product Analyst, Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or similar role.
• Experience supporting enterprise LMS implementations, transformations, or migration initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with SumTotal LMS
• Strong experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into actionable product requirements.
• Experience performing large-scale data analysis, data cleanup, and migration activities.
• Proven ability to work effectively in matrixed and cross-functional environments.
• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, and conflict resolution capabilities.
• Experience supporting global stakeholders and distributed teams.
• Ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other regulated industries.
• Experience supporting GxP-regulated training environments.
• SAP SuccessFactors Learning, or other enterprise learning platforms.
• Prior SAP SuccessFactors Learning implementation or migration experience.
• Experience working with third-party system integrators and consulting partners.
• Knowledge of Agile product delivery methodologies.
• Portuguese language proficiency is a plus.
• Experience supporting learning transformation or workforce development initiatives.

• Data Analysis & Reporting: Databricks, Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, data analysis), Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and data migration/reconciliation tools.
• Product, Project & Requirements Management: Jira, Azure DevOps (ADO), Confluence, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, and Agile product delivery tools.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Microsoft 365 Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint), Visio, and Lucidchart.
• Migration, Testing & Compliance: LMS data migration, data cleansing, validation, reconciliation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Computer System Validation (CSV), GxP-compliant systems, audit readiness, and training governance.
• Business Process & Integration Knowledge: Learning lifecycle management, curriculum development, HRIS/LMS integrations, process mapping, workflow optimization, requirements management, and change management.
