Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to own full-stack features using Node.js, React, and TypeScript. You will architect and implement scalable web applications while embracing CI/CD, testing, and performance tuning.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver robust, user-friendly experiences. The role is fully remote with a flexible schedule aligned to Melbourne time and opportunities for international applicants.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of professional software engineering experience across frontend and backend
• Advanced proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript
• Strong experience with React 18+ and modern patterns
• Solid automated testing experience (Vitest/Jest)
• Strong SQL skills and relational DB concepts
• Experience with Tailwind CSS and TanStack Query
• Knowledge of OAuth/OIDC and session-based auth
• Designing and consuming APIs, including external integrations

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high-quality web applications using Node.js, TypeScript, and React 18+.
• Own end-to-end features from design through deployment and optimization.
• Build scalable RESTful APIs and integrate with external services.
• Create responsive, accessible UIs with React and Tailwind CSS.
• Maintain code quality with automated tests, reviews, and CI/CD.
