Hitachi Solutions Portugal is seeking a Lead Data Consultant to join the Data, Analytics & AI practice. You will provide bespoke data engineering and analytics solutions, guiding clients on best practices and delivering on time and budget.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and collaboration across Europe. Responsibilities include design of data platforms, BI and AI-enabled solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, and Power BI, plus mentoring junior colleagues and contributing

Qualificações

• 10+ years of experience designing and delivering cloud-based Data Engineering, Analytics, and AI solutions.
• Extensive client-facing consulting experience and track record leading teams or projects.
• Hands-on programming in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory and data platform solutions like Microsoft Fabric and Databricks.
• Expertise in data visualization and analytics using Power BI, QlikView or Tableau.
• Strong data modelling and transformation, ETL/ELT design and data warehousing.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and developing Data & Analytics teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead teams and projects from requirements gathering to design and implementation.
• Define architectures that meet current and future business needs.

In this role you will be providing bespoke andcutting-edgedata andadvanced analytics solutions, bringing significant commercial advantage to some ofEurope’smostrecognisedcompanies.

The successful candidate will draw upon their experience withdataengineering andbusiness intelligence tools and techniquestoadviseclients ondata andanalytics bestpractices and deliverdata andanalyticssolutionson timeand tobudget.

The main areas of responsibility are:

• Provide expert advisory services to clients on advanced analytics and data engineering best practices, ensuring delivery of scalable and efficient solutions.
• Lead teams and projects, supporting all aspects of delivery from requirements gathering to solution design and implementation.
• Capture client requirements and lead the development of solution architectures that meet both current and future business needs.
• Design and develop bespokeData Platform,Business IntelligenceandAdvanced Analytics solutions,leveragingthe latest cloud technologies.
• Lead the design, implementation, andoptimisationof enterprise data engineering solutions on Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks, delivering robust, secure, and scalable data products that support analytics, reporting, and AI use cases.
• Build and oversee the development of dynamic, interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI, ensuring clear, actionable insights for clients.
• Guide teams in data modelling and transformation efforts, ensuring the development ofoptimiseddata architectures, including the design of ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to support their professional development.
• Actively contribute to the development of the team in Portugal, ensuring close ties to the rest of the European team.

Qualifications

We are looking to hire ambitious consulting professionals who combine their technical acumen with a genuine enthusiasm for improvingorganisations:

• 10+ years of experience designing and delivering cloud-based Data Engineering, Analytics, and AI solutions, ideally within a consulting or systems integration environment.
• Extensive experience in a client-facing role, previously working for a consultancy or systems integrator, with a proventrack recordof leading teams or projects.
• Hands-on experience with modern programming languages such as Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with data integration tools like Azure Data Factory and Data platform solutions such as Microsoft Fabric and/orDatabricks.
• Expertisein datavisualisationand analytics using Power BI, QlikView or Tableau.
• Strong experience in data modelling and transformation, including the design of ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing solutions
• Experience or awareness of Big Data and Data Science and/or AI technologies, including the integration of Machine Learning models and/or Generative AI components.
• Experienceinleading, mentoring, and developing Data & Analytics teams, with a passion for coaching and growing talent.
• Demonstrated leadership within the Data Engineering and AI domain, acting as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client management skills.
