Job summary

iTRTech Group in Lisbon is seeking a Senior Kotlin Developer (Desktop) to join a strategic software modernization project in the insurance sector. You will help migrate desktop applications toward a modern microservices architecture, using Kotlin and Java, and collaborating across international teams.

The role combines API integration, code quality, and production support, with a hybrid work model requiring two days per week in Moscavide office.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Kotlin experience, desktop-oriented development.
• Solid Java development and API design capabilities.
• Experience with microservices-based solutions and RESTful APIs.
• English at B2 level or higher; Portugal-based hybrid arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain software using Kotlin and Java.
• Migrate legacy desktop apps to microservices architecture.
• Design, build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with services.
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance; participate in code reviews.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for services and components.
