Job summary

TeamViewer is seeking a Junior Site Reliability Engineer to help ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our Azure-based SaaS platform. You will learn from experienced SREs, operating and continuously improving systems powering our core products for users worldwide.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with production cloud services, observability, incident response, and automation, supported by mentors to grow your career in reliability engineering.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
• 0–2 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, system administration, or software development roles (internships, apprenticeships, or personal projects count).
• Hands-on experience with a public cloud platform, ideally Microsoft Azure (AWS or GCP also welcome).
• Exposure to Azure app platforms such as Azure App Services is a plus.
• Familiarity with containers (Docker); exposure to Kubernetes is a plus.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
• Interest in Infrastructure-as-Code and automation; exposure to Terraform or Argo CD is a plus.
• Ability to write simple scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Awareness of IAM concepts (Keycloak, Entra).
• Basic knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL).
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog) is a plus.
• Some software development experience is beneficial.
• Basic understanding of networking (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP) and security principles.
• A proactive mindset, eagerness to learn, openness to feedback, and strong collaboration skills.
• Fluent in English.

• Operate and maintain highly available, scalable cloud infrastructure supporting a global SaaS platform.
• Support deployment of feature and maintenance releases with safe, reliable delivery to production.
• Build and improve monitoring, alerting, and dashboards for 24/7 reliability.
• Automate routine operational tasks to reduce toil and improve consistency.
• Join on-call rotations and assist with incident investigations and escalation.
• Contribute to post-incident reviews and identify reliability risks.
• Create and maintain runbooks and operational documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve platform reliability and security.
• Support installations on customer environments.

As a Junior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at TeamViewer, you will help ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our Azure-based global SaaS platform. Working alongside experienced SREs, you will learn how to operate and continuously improve the systems that power our core products and services, helping to deliver a seamless experience to users worldwide.

• Support the deployment of feature and maintenance releases, following established processes to ensure safe and reliable delivery to production

• Help build and improve monitoring, alerting, and dashboards to support 24/7 service reliability

• Automate routine operational tasks to reduce toil and improve consistency

• Join on‑call rotations once onboarded, with support from senior team members, helping to investigate incidents and escalating where needed

• Contribute to post‑incident reviews and help identify reliability risks and improvement opportunities

• Create and maintain runbooks and operational documentation

• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve platform reliability, security, and operational maturity

• Support installations on customer environments
