Job summary

Capgemini Portugal is launching a new Tech Hub in Porto, seeking a Data & Analytics Engineer to design and operate SAP Datasphere-based solutions. You will collaborate with data engineers, consultants and stakeholders to deliver scalable data models and analytics capabilities.

You will work within a hybrid environment that supports flexible office and remote work, and you will contribute to governance, security, and operational excellence across data projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) and SAP Datasphere.
• Strong knowledge of SAP and non-SAP data integration, pipelines and interfaces.
• Experience managing users, roles and access controls.
• Proven ability to monitor, troubleshoot and maintain systems.

Responsibilities

• Support design, implementation and operation of data analytics solutions on SAP Datasphere.
• Develop SAP Datasphere data models, spaces, views and analytical models.
• Connect SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, non-SAP systems and cloud data sources.
• Support data pipelines: ingestion, transformation, harmonization and provisioning.
• Contribute to migration from SAP BW/BW4HANA to SAP Datasphere under guidance.
• Translate business requirements into scalable data and analytics solutions.
• Document governance, security and access-control concepts.
• Prepare documentation and knowledge-transfer materials for ongoing ownership.

YOUR ROLE

• Support the design, implementation, and operation of data and analytics solutions on SAP Business Data Cloud and SAP Datasphere.
• Assist in developing SAP Datasphere data models, including spaces, views, and analytical models.
• Contribute to connecting SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, non-SAP systems, and cloud data sources.
• Support data pipelines covering ingestion, transformation, harmonization, and provisioning.
• Support migration activities from SAP BW/BW4HANA to SAP Datasphere under guidance of experienced team members.
• Understanding of Business Data & Analytics use cases, reporting capabilities, and data-driven applications.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable data and analytical solutions.
• Understanding of how business stakeholders, source systems, data models, pipelines, and reporting outputs interact end to end.
• Knowledge of governance, security, and authorization concepts.
• Knowledge of the role’s own functional area and its connection to company objectives.
• Ability to monitor complex processes and apply established solution approaches and functional knowledge to recurring problems.
• Ability to make operational/functional decisions affecting the role’s own group.
• Gather business requirements with stakeholders and translate them into scalable data models and analytical solutions.
• Prepare documentation and knowledge-transfer materials for sustainable solution ownership.

YOUR PROFILE

• Hands-on experience with SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) and SAP Datasphere.
• Strong knowledge of SAP and non-SAP data integration, pipelines, and system interfaces.
• Experience managing users, roles, authorizations, and access controls.
• Proven experience in platform monitoring, performance management, troubleshooting, and system housekeeping.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with data engineers, consultants, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to onboard, mentor, and support new team members.
• Familiarity with transport, release, and operational support processes.
• Good understanding of data governance, security, and access-control principles.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation and operational procedures.
