JTA: The Data Scientists seeks a Junior Project Manager in Portugal to support data project planning, coordination, and delivery. The role targets 0–2 years of experience, with full-time availability and cross-functional collaboration.
You'll learn our methods, contribute to documentation, and bridge business needs with technical execution. Expect mentoring in the first year and gradual ownership of larger workstreams over time.
We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of data projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
This role is ideal for candidates with 0–2 years of experience, including recent graduates or those finishing their degree, with full-time availability.
You will work closely with other Project Managers and cross-functional teams to learn our ways of working, contribute to project documentation, and ensure smooth communication between technical and business stakeholders.
From an early stage, you will have the opportunity to lead smaller, well-scoped initiatives or client workstreams with guidance.
Over time, you will progressively take ownership of larger responsibilities, supporting project delivery from requirements gathering through execution follow-up.
We are particularly looking for someone who wants to develop strong technical fluency as part of their Project Management career. You don't need to be a developer or data specialist today, but you should be curious about how technology and data solutions work and genuinely motivated to invest in building that knowledge.
We believe strong Project Managers in data environments should be able to understand technical concepts, ask meaningful questions, challenge assumptions, and connect business needs with technical execution.
This role is therefore especially suited for someone who wants to grow beyond project coordination and develop the ability to bridge business, data, and technology.
We’re based in Porto, Portugal. Although this is a remote working role, we are only considering people located in Portugal.
