Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a Junior Quality Analyst - Metrology in Évora, Portugal. The role centers on shaping the dimensional metrology value stream, working with global centers and cross‑functional teams to improve measurement systems and product quality from development through production.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical/industrial/mechatronics background, basic GD&T knowledge, CAD familiarity with Creo, and a drive for continuous technical learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related technical field.
• No professional experience required; suitable for recent graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience in dimensional metrology.
• Knowledge of CAD software (e.g. Creo or similar 3D CAD tools) for visualization and interpretation of product geometry and technical data, is considered an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Geometrical Product Specifications (GPS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Working knowledge of English and Portuguese Language
• Knowledge of additional languages, such as French or German, is considered an advantage.
• Analytical mindset, curiosity, and strong motivation for continuous technical learning.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with NPD, Sustaining Tooling, and Tool Builders to improve FAI and PPAP measurements using Zeiss Inspect, Volume Graphics, WinWerth, and Calypso.
• Support coordination with Product Engineering, Tool & Die, and Suppliers in defining measurement strategies and analyzing point cloud and CT data; prepare Measurement Reports.
• Assist with automation initiatives related to Model‑Based Definition (MBD) and PPAP simplification; help collect data from FAI reports.
• Support PE and Suppliers in using measurement reports and digital viewer files for results evaluation and tool corrections.
• Operate and program digital metrology equipment (CMM, 3D scanner, among others).
