Extia Lisbon is seeking a junior Banking & Financial Operations Analyst to join our finance operations team. You will support transaction processing, documentation review, and reporting within a structured, collaborative environment.

Join a growing, well‑established consultancy with a strong focus on quality controls, process improvement and operational efficiency across financial services workflows.

Competenze

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Management or Business Administration
• Interest in banking operations, financial services, transaction control or financial documentation
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Proactive attitude and attention to detail

Mansioni

• Monitor and control financial transactions, ensuring accurate processing and consistency across systems and records
• Review transaction details and supporting documentation, identifying and resolving discrepancies
• Perform operational checks and reconciliations to support data integrity and risk management
• Contribute to reporting activities, ensuring transparency, accuracy and compliance with procedures and deadlines
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including business, trading, operations, IT and other support teams
• Investigate operational issues and coordinate their resolution to improve processes and controls

What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control financial transactions, ensuring accurate processing and consistency across systems and records
• Review transaction details and supporting documentation, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
• Perform operational checks and reconciliations to support the integrity of financial data and mitigate operational risks
• Contribute to reporting activities, ensuring transparency, accuracy and compliance with internal procedures and deadlines
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business, trading, operations, IT and other support teams, to ensure smooth daily operations
• Investigate operational issues, coordinate their resolution and contribute to effective risk management
• Maintain and improve operational procedures, controls and workflows

What We're Looking For:

• A degree in Finance, Economics, Management, Business Administration or a related field
• Strong interest in banking operations, financial services, transaction control or financial documentation
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
