Crossjoin Solutions is seeking a Junior Database Administrator in Almada, Portugal. You will receive intensive training to prepare for projects and enhance your technical and soft skills in a supportive team.

Your responsibilities will include managing open-source databases, ensuring performance and security, and maintaining system documentation. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science is preferred, but no prior experience is necessary.

Responsabilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, maintain and Administrate open-source databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, etc.).
• Ensure high availability, backups, replication, and disaster recovery.
• Monitor performance, tune queries.
• Apply security patches, manage access, and enforce data protection.
• Automate routine tasks and maintain monitoring/alerting systems.
• Document environments, procedures, and best practices.
• Evaluate and implement improvements for reliability, scalability, and cost.
