Job summary

EuroAtlantic Airways is seeking a Junior Accounting Specialist to join our Finance Department in Portugal. This role supports the accounting team in daily activities, contributing to accurate financial information and compliance.

You will assist with accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, month-end closing, and financial reporting, liaising with internal teams and external partners. Ideal candidates have a degree in accounting/finance, English proficiency, and a willingness to learn;

Qualifications

• Degree or ongoing studies in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Internship or up to 2 years of experience in accounting or finance is considered an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Proficiency in English.
• Having started the certification process with the Portuguese Order of Chartered Accountants (OCC) is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Process and verify invoices and accounting records
• Assist with bank and general ledger reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Assist with financial reporting and accounting schedules
• Maintain accurate accounting documentation and records
• Support VAT, tax, and audit-related activities
• Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, clients, and external partners on accounting matters
• Support the Finance team with ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks
