Rumos Porto is seeking an experienced Java-focused software engineer to maintain, support, and develop new features in an agile team. You will take part in the full development lifecycle and contribute to improving team practices and documentation.

Ideal candidates hold a IT-related degree, 3+ years Java 8+ experience, and strong Linux and database knowledge, with a good command of English and Portuguese. The role is hybrid in Porto, offering challenging projects and training opportunities.

Qualificações

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience with Java 8 or above.
• Experience with JUnit, Maven and Git.
• Proficiency in Linux environments.
• Experience with the Hadoop ecosystem (Java, Spark and Hive).
• Solid knowledge of relational databases.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot and React will be considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of Jenkins and other CI/CD tools will be considered an advantage.
• Familiarity with Perl will be considered an advantage.
• Fluency in Portuguese and advanced English proficiency.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, with a strong sense of responsibility and a collaborative mindset.

• Maintenance, support and development of new application features.
• Active participation in an Agile development team throughout the entire development lifecycle.
• Sharing knowledge and suggesting improvements to team routines, as well as technical improvements.
• Contribution to the team's documentation.
