Rumos Group in Porto seeks a Java-focused software engineer to maintain, support and develop new application features. You will participate in an Agile team throughout the full development lifecycle, share knowledge, and contribute to technical improvements and team documentation.

The role emphasizes proficiency in Java, Linux, Hadoop ecosystem, and relational databases, with advantages for Spring Boot, React, Jenkins, and Perl familiarity. Portuguese fluency and strong English are required.

Qualificações

• Degree in Information Technology or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience with Java 8 or above.
• Experience with JUnit, Maven and Git.
• Proficiency in Linux environments.
• Experience with the Hadoop ecosystem (Java, Spark and Hive).
• Solid knowledge of relational databases.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot and React will be considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of Jenkins and other CI/CD tools will be considered an advantage.
• Familiarity with Perl will be considered an advantage.
• Fluency in Portuguese and advanced English proficiency.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, with a strong sense of responsibility and a collaborative mindset.
