Jobtailor is seeking a Software Engineer to evolve our backend for financial data services in Porto. You will design secure architectures and implement APIs using Java 21 and Spring, with PostgreSQL and advanced SQL as core skills.

The role blends development with business understanding in a hybrid setup, requiring strong English and good French basics. You will work in a fast-paced Agile environment with CI/CD and microservices practices.

Qualificações

1 to 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
Hybrid role combining development and business understanding.
Experience with data governance or data management is a plus.
Expert proficiency in English (mandatory); basic French.

Responsabilidades

Design, secure and scale backend architectures.
Develop backend solutions using Java 21 and the Spring framework.
Implement data exposure solutions through APIs.

Contribute to the evolution of an application managing financial statements referential data
Design, secure and scale backend architectures
Develop backend solutions using Java 21 and the Spring framework
Implement data exposure solutions through APIs
Work with PostgreSQL and advanced SQL queries
Industrialize solutions according to CI/CD and software development best practices
Apply microservices architecture, unit testing and versioning practices
Participate in Agile development activities using Jira, Confluence and ALM
Participate in the validation phase with end users
Support the understanding and translation of functional requirements into technical solutions
Contribute to maintaining application quality, consistency and reliability
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

1 to 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer
Comfortable working in a hybrid role combining technical development and business understanding
Experience with third-party data and data governance or data management is considered a plus
Expert proficiency in English (mandatory)
