Caixa Mágica Software in Porto is seeking a Software Engineer to evolve an application that manages financial statement referentials and connects to external data providers. You will design secure back-end architectures, work with Java 21 and Spring, and push for CI/CD driven delivery.

The role requires 1–3 years of experience, strong SQL (PostgreSQL), and English and French language skills. You’ll join a dynamic team committed to quality, collaboration, and innovation.

Qualificações

• University degree, or equivalent by experience, in Information Technology and/or Computer Science, Information Management, or other related fields
• 1-3 years of experience as a Data Analyst / Software Engineer
• Appetence for multi-hat roles (Technical Business Analyst)
• Experience in third party data, data governance/management is a plus
• Mastery of Java 21 is required for all candidates
• Proficiency in JAVA spring programming language
• Advanced SQL (PostgreSQL)
• Mastery of good programming practices (CI/CD, micro service, unit testing, versioning, etc.)
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, IBM, etc.) and containerization using Docker
• Agile Methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, ALM)
• English is mandatory
• French notions is mandatory.
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Creativity & Innovation / Problem solving
• Ability to understand functional requests from end users, explain and support change
• Ability to collaborate/Teamwork
• Attention to detail / rigor

Overview:

The Developer will work on a project focused on the evolution of an application managing groups of financial statements referential. It is connected to some external providers (public & market-data) and with a data capture capacity for non-structured documents.

This application would ensure high data quality and consistency across various referential data sources and reducing discrepancies in reporting. The goal is to improve time to market and enable faster and more accurate insights for better decision-making.
