IRIUM is seeking a Senior Java Back End to join a challenging project in Lisbon. The role requires ownership of software components and delivering scalable backend solutions using Java Spring within an Agile environment.

Work is on a hybrid model in Lisbon, with a 3-day-per-week office presence. Excellent English (C1) and strong collaboration across cross-functional teams are essential, as you will participate in architectural discussions and mentor peers.

Qualificações

• Senior Java Back End with ownership of software components.
• Experience in Java Spring and backend design.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and improve system reliability.
• Experience contributing to architectural discussions and cross-functional collaboration.
• English proficiency C1 or higher.

Requirements:

We are currently looking for a Senior Java Back End to join a challenging project, taking ownership of software components and contributing to the development of scalable, high-performing and reliable backend solutions using modern frameworks and Agile practices.

Required Competencies:

• Java Spring
• Strong experience in backend software development, including designing, coding and enhancing software components
• Experience taking ownership of software components and ensuring their quality and performance
• Ability to analyse complex technical problems and propose effective solutions that improve system efficiency and reliability
• Experience contributing to architectural discussions and helping define technical solutions aligned with business objectives
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software features
• Ability to contribute to key technical decisions and provide solutions across multiple teams
• Experience supporting and guiding less experienced colleagues through knowledge sharing and development best practices
• Ability to take responsibility for team decisions and contribute to effective team performance
• Strong understanding of modern software development and Agile practices
• English - minimum C1
• Availability to work 3 days per week at the office in Lisbon

Location:

Lisbon – Hybrid
Work Model: 3 days per week at the office
Salary Range: €3.300-€3.700 gross/month
