KCS IT in Porto, Portugal, is seeking an experienced Java & Angular Developer (hybrid). You will join cross-functional teams to build scalable backend services and rich frontend features.

The role requires 5+ years in software development with Java and Angular, strong REST API design, Spring Boot, and cloud experience. Fluent English is mandatory; you will collaborate with teams across Benelux and other regions, contributing to CI/CD and agile processes to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development with Java and Angular.
• Strong knowledge of OOP principles, design patterns, clean code, and best practices.
• Solid experience with Spring and Spring Boot for backend development.
• REST API design and Microservices architectures experience.
• Angular experience with TypeScript and RxJS.
• MySQL and relational databases design and optimization.
• Kafka and event-driven architectures are a plus.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Unit and integration testing experience; CI/CD familiarity.
• Agile/Scrum environment exposure; DevOps mindset.
• Fluent in English.

The amazing you, will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field;
• 5+ years of experience in software development with Java and Angular;
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, clean code, and software engineering best practices;
• Solid experience with Spring and Spring Boot, developing scalable and maintainable backend applications;
• Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs and working with Microservices architectures;
• Strong experience with Angular, preferably using recent versions of the framework, together with TypeScript and RxJS;
• Strong experience with MySQL and relational databases, including SQL, database design, and query optimization;
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures will be a plus;
• Experience with Cloud platforms, preferably AWS, Azure, or GCP;
• Good understanding of software testing practices, including unit and integration testing;
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and a DevOps mindset;
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in collaborative, cross-functional development teams;
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
