Mindera seeks a Java AI Engineer to design and build scalable microservices with Java 17/21+ and Spring Boot, focusing on autonomous AI agents and LLM integration. You will craft prompts, ensure reliability, and collaborate with apps, product, data, and frontend teams to deliver AI-powered experiences on mobile apps.

Remote from Portugal is an option. You will work across Mindera offices in Porto, Aveiro, and Coimbra, contributing to secure, observable AI features and robust APIs for

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience for the role.
• Experience as a Java Developer and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Agentic AI and LLMs.
• Knowledge of LangChain or equivalent orchestration frameworks.
• Strong technical writing skills for APIs, architecture, and guides.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance microservices using Java 17/21+ and Spring Boot.
• Architect and implement autonomous AI agents with frameworks like Spring AI or LangChain4j.
• Integrate Azure Co-pilot into enterprise applications via robust RESTful APIs.
• Craft, test, and version-control complex prompts for deterministic model outputs.
• Implement guardrails, rate limiting, fallback mechanisms, and observability traces for AI features.
• Collaborate with App Engineers, product managers, data, and frontend developers to define AI use cases and deliver end-to-end mobile app experiences.

Requirements

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field


• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience for the role


• Previous experience as a Java Developer and Springboot


• Experience with Agentic AI and LLMs


• Knowledge of LangChain or equivalent orchestration frameworks


• Strong technical writing skills for documenting APIs, architecture, and developer guides
