Decskill is seeking an IT Senior Mainframe Developer to design, develop and maintain complex mainframe applications. You will work with COBOL, JCL, IDMS and DB2, ensuring high-quality batch processing and reliable data access across projects in Portugal and beyond.

Qualificações

• Mastery in COBOL, JCL, IDMS and DB2 required or equivalent.
• Excellent written and spoken communication in a multicultural environment.
• Ability to manage meetings and deliver high-quality results on time.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain mainframe applications.
• Develop and maintain JCL scripts to automate batch processing and data transfer.
• Collaborate with DBAs to ensure efficient data access and manipulation.
• Ensure adherence to security standards, compliance requirements, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain complex mainframe applications
• Develop and maintain JCL scripts to automate batch processing and data transfer
• Collaborate with database administrators to ensure efficient data access and manipulation
• Ensure adherence to industry best practices, security standards, and compliance requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Requirements:

• Mastery in: COBOL, JCL, IDMS, DB2
• Very good organisational and communication skills (both written and spoken) in a multi-cultural environment.
• Ability to manage/facilitate a meeting.
• Aim to deliver very high quality results, respecting the deadlines.
• Respect the procedures, methodologies and directives.
• Good listening, questioning ability and result-driven personality.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
